Started in 1996 and still going as a family run business, 5G sought to bring customers something different to the usual machine-like companies which were dominating the industry.
By 2003, the next generation of telecommunication provider had blossomed and 5G were known as one of the largest growing providers in the UK.
5G combined their good-natured, lucid approach with knowledge in all areas of the industry – fibre, digital and analogue lines, cloud-based services, IT support, on-premises phone systems, and now Web Listings.
For the last 12 months, over 2,500 5G customers have benefited from Web Listings. At the start of the 2020, 5G gave all their customers a free trial of the service allowing customers to update their opening hours, change their contact details and add any new services they would be offering during the pandemic.
They didn’t stop there. During the lockdown, they continued to drive growth of the product. As the country was due to enter another lockdown, these new 5G customers were able to benefit from the Web Listings tool as well, with a free trial and online data scan letting them know the areas of their business that were missing or incorrect online.
Laura Wingfield, Customer Care Manager at 5G added: “Onboarding the Web Listings service came at just the right time for our customers. It meant they could update and change their opening hours and contact details during the depth of the pandemic. As we add new customers to the service, they will also benefit from these online tools!”
